HCode runs everything else.

Managed app hosting from HostAfrica. Push from Git, and production-ready is where you start.

Billed monthly. Cancel anytime.

One pushPush to main and it is live. No servers to set up, no config to fight, just a URL you can send to someone.
PostgreSQLYour database sits right next to your app and gets backed up every day. Grab the connection string and get on with it.
SSL and rollbacksHTTPS is on from the first deploy. Shipped something broken? Roll back to the last good one and breathe.

Built for your flow. Not your to-do list.

Connect a GitHub repository or upload a .zip. HCode detects your framework, builds your app and deploys it in South Africa with SSL, so you ship features instead of managing servers.

More than a deploy. The whole toolchain, built in.

Managed PostgreSQL and Redis, custom domains with SSL, backups and zero-downtime deploys are built into HCode, so production-ready is where you start, not a weekend of setup.

  • A database, not a detour.

Managed PostgreSQL and Redis alongside your app, on its own private network. Keep your data close and your setup simple.

  • Secure from the start.

Your own domain with automated SSL, encrypted secrets and built-in backups. The essentials come with you.

  • Go forward. Roll back.

A new release goes live without downtime, and one that fails its checks never replaces the app that is running. Need the last one back? Roll back in a click.

Big ideas.African roots.

Building for users across Africa? Keep your app and its database together on African infrastructure, in South Africa, and latency stops being a mystery.

  • Lower latency, by design.

App and database sit together, so every query stays short.

  • Think in your currency.

Plan your next release with costs in a currency you know.

  • A familiar name behind you.

HCode brings a modern developer experience to HostAfrica.

One platform.Three ways to build.

Side projects, SaaS products and client work all deploy the same way on HCode. Here is what that looks like for you.

Developers

Less config.More creation.

Give your next side project a real home. Connect your repository and get back to the part you love: building.

  • Framework detection
  • Git deployments
  • Live build logs

SaaS teams

Build the product.Keep your momentum.

Keep your app, its database and its background workers together, with the building blocks your product needs as it grows.

  • Managed PostgreSQL
  • Environment variables
  • Rollbacks

Agencies

Client work.Without the busywork.

A modern workflow for every client. Every project gets a free subdomain the moment it deploys; add the client’s own domain when they are ready, give each teammate the right role, and bill predictably in your currency.

What is HCode?

HCode is the HostAfrica-branded version of the Zanode app hosting platform, bringing Git-based deployment workflows and managed services to developers, agencies and product teams across Africa.

What can I deploy?

Web apps, APIs, static sites and background workers such as queue consumers and bots. HCode detects Node.js, Python, Go, Ruby and PHP projects and builds them for you, or builds your own Dockerfile. Add managed PostgreSQL or Redis beside your app, with custom domains and automated SSL on every plan.

Where will my app and data live?

The platform is built around South African infrastructure, so your application and database run on the continent, side by side. Performance depends on your application, database, and configuration.

Isn’t a global platform already close enough?

Global platforms have improved their regional coverage, but you still have to think about where your functions and your database actually run. On HCode the app and its PostgreSQL database are designed to stay together in South Africa, so the distance between them is never the surprise.

Can I bring my own domain?

Yes. Connect a custom domain and use automated SSL certificate provisioning. You can manage environment variables and follow build and deployment logs from the platform.

How do I get started with HCode?

Pick a plan on this page and order it in the HostAfrica panel. Not sure which plan fits? Talk to our team and we will help you choose.

Can you help me move an existing project?

Yes. Connect the GitHub repository or upload a .zip, then import your PostgreSQL data from a .sql file or a pg_dump archive. HCode backs up the database before an import replaces it. Talk to our team if you would like help planning the move.
